Alex Burns is the Global Head of Systematic Strategies at Schonfeld. Alex is responsible for the strategic management of Schonfeld’s systematic businesses globally, and he serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee.

Alex joined the firm in 2011 after six years as the Senior Analyst, Head of Due Diligence at Telesis Capital LLC, a Los Angeles-based fund of hedge funds with a focus on high frequency and short-term quantitative trading strategies. Prior to Telesis, Alex spent four years as Vice President in Portfolio Management at Santa Barbara Alpha Strategies, where he was responsible for conducting hedge fund strategy due diligence in quantitative and market neutral investment strategies.  Alex has a BA in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. Alex also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Alex Codrington is the Head of EMEA Fundamental Equity at Schonfeld. Alex manages a market-neutral, equity long/short generalist portfolio, leads the EMEA FE business, and is a member of the European Leadership Committee. He serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee. He joined Schonfeld in 2018 as one of Schonfeld’s first PMs in EMEA.

Prior to Schonfeld, Alex held Portfolio Manager roles at BlueCrest Capital Management, Nomura Securities and RAB Capital. He began his career on the Global Equities team at J.P. Morgan Cazenove. Alex earned a BA in Political Science from Newcastle University.

Alex McBride is COO of Global Fundamental Equity at Schonfeld. Alex joined the firm in 2020 and is responsible for the strategic operations and management of Schonfeld’s Fundamental Equity businesses. She serves on the firm’s Global Operating Committee and Global Investment Committee.

Prior to Schonfeld, Alex held roles on the COO team at Citadel. Prior to Citadel, she was a Business Analyst at Folger Hill Asset Management. Alex began her career as an Analyst at BlackRock in the Hedge Fund Strategy group. Alex received her BA in Economics from Princeton University.

Andre Laport serves as Head of Latin America of Schonfeld Strategic Advisors. He is a member of the Global Investment Committee. Andre joined the firm in 2025.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Andre was Founder and CIO of Vinland Capital Management running macro and equities funds based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Andre was also a former Partner at Goldman Sachs and retired as Chief Executive of Latin America Equities. Andre was a member of the Goldman Sachs Latin America Executive Committee, Equities Risk Committee, Brazil Risk Committee, Brazil Business Standards Committee and Brazil Management Committee. Andre has 31 years of investment experience across equities and macro.  Andre holds an MBA from Brown Business School and an OPM from Harvard Business School. He is actively engaged in helping the community as a member of the Brazil Foundation committee and MBM (movimento bem maior).

Andrew Silverman is a Portfolio Manager and Head of Credit within the Discretionary Macro & Fixed Income (“DMFI”) strategy at Schonfeld. Andrew joined the firm in 2022 and leads the firm’s credit business.

Prior to joining Schonfeld in 2022, Andrew was a Managing Director at Anchorage Capital where he focused on high yield, distressed and other investments. Prior to that, he was Head of Leveraged Credit Trading at GoldenTree Asset Management. Andrew began his career at Goldman Sachs where he was a Managing Director trading distressed credit. Andrew graduated from Harvard University with a BA in Applied Mathematics.

Chris Antonelli is Head of APAC at Schonfeld and oversees the Fundamental Equity business across the region. Chris is responsible for leading business development, talent management, and strategic and operational initiatives across the APAC region. He also serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee.

Chris joined Schonfeld in June 2019 from Nomura Securities, where he worked in both their Japan and Hong Kong offices over the span of a decade. While there, he held a variety of roles, including APAC Head of Equity Finance, Japan Head of Prime Finance and Global Head of Prime Finance, a role he held from 2010-2018. Chris began his career as a Trading Assistant at Lehman Brothers in New York City after graduating from the College of the Holy Cross with dual BAs in Mathematics and Economics.

Colin Lancaster is the Global Co-Head of Discretionary Macro and Fixed Income (DMFI) and Head of EMEA at Schonfeld. Colin joined Schonfeld in 2021 and is responsible for strategic initiatives across DMFI and the firm’s EMEA region, DMFI business development, and DMFI capital allocations. He serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Colin was Head of Macro Strategies at Citadel and Head of Macro at Balyasny Asset Management. During his career, Colin has managed global investment operations in London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Chicago and San Francisco. Colin holds a BA in Politics from Princeton University and a JD from Marquette University Law School.

Derek Flynn oversees the Portfolio Management and Trading Solutions groups at Schonfeld. Derek joined Schonfeld seven years ago and has held multiple roles at the firm, including Head of EMEA Equity Trading and Head of EMEA – Non-Investment, before moving into his current role.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Derek held execution trading roles at BlueCrest Capital and Nomura Securities. Derek began his career working in Front Office Trading System Support at Lehman Brothers. Derek received a BA in Computer Systems from the University of Limerick.

Hakan Guney is the COO of Credit Strategies at Schonfeld, overseeing the strategic, business and financial build-out of the firm’s global credit platform. He sits on Schonfeld’s Global Operating Committee.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Hakan was Global Credit COO at Brevan Howard in New York. Before that, he worked for Nomura in Hong Kong, where he helped scale the firm’s APAC private-debt business while helping manage Global Credit Trading. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at Deutsche Bank in New York and London, holding leadership roles across business and risk, including building the bank’s EMEA Credit Prime Financing business and as COO within Global Credit Trading. Hakan holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and is a CAIA charterholder.

Hung Luc is the Chief Compliance Officer at Schonfeld. In this role, Hung is responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of Schonfeld’s Compliance function.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Hung held key roles at Squarepoint Capital and Neuberger Berman. He has over 25 years of industry experience spanning the sell-side, buy-side and exchanges. Hung graduated with a BS in Chemistry from the University of Leeds and holds an MS in Management Science from Lancaster University.

Jeff Jager is the Global Head of Trading, Execution and Advisory at Schonfeld. Jeff joined the firm in 2019 and manages trading desks across the US, EMEA and APAC regions in addition to overseeing execution research and commission management. He serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Jeff worked at Balyasny Asset Management for 16 years running their derivatives desk and managing ECM globally. He graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, with BAs in Finance and International Business.

John Tompkins is the Head of U.S. Fundamental Equity at Schonfeld. John began working with Schonfeld in 2013 as an external portfolio manager running Tyvor Capital. John became an internal Schonfeld Portfolio Manager in 2019 running a consumer strategy. He serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee.

Prior to Tyvor, John was a Portfolio Manager at SAC Capital. He also served as a senior high-yield, distressed and fundamental equities analyst at Citadel. John began his career as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. John holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA in Mathematics from Colorado College.

Katie Samuels is the Chief of Staff to Schonfeld’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer and Head of the Executive Office. Katie supports the CEO and CIO’s daily operations to drive strategic decision-making, prioritization and execution within Schonfeld’s Executive Office. Her role involves coordinating cross-functionally, streamlining communication, and implementing processes that support the firm’s long-term objectives.

She also oversees the firm’s internal and external communications efforts. Prior to joining Schonfeld in 2019, she served in a similar role to the CEO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management. She has also held client-facing roles within the Hedge Fund Principals and Financial Institutions groups at J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank. Katie holds a BBA from Emory University.

Lav Lukic is the Global Co-Head of Treasury at Schonfeld.

Prior to joining Schonfeld in 2023, Lav held roles at J.P. Morgan for 15 years, initially trading repo and short-term rates risk, and later running and developing the EMEA, Japan and Australia repo desks, and eventually the U.S. desk, as well. The last five years of his tenure at J.P. Morgan was spent as a Managing Director leading government repo trading globally. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Lav held roles at Lehman Brothers and BNP Paribas in repo and short-end rates trading. Lav holds a BS in Computer Science from Imperial College London and an MDIP in European Policy from Bristol University.

Mark Peckman is the General Counsel of Schonfeld. Mark joined the firm in 2002 following Schonfeld’s acquisition of Broadway Trading, where he was General Counsel. In his role, Mark is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of Schonfeld’s Legal and Compliance functions. Since joining the firm, Mark has played a key role in Schonfeld’s transformation from a U.S.-centric proprietary trading firm to a global multi-strategy, multi-manager platform. He holds a BA from Emory University, a JD from Brooklyn Law School, and an MBA from Baruch Business School.

Matt is the Global Co-Head of Treasury at Schonfeld. In his role, Matt leads equities funding teams in Asia, EMEA and the Americas.

Prior to joining Schonfeld in 2025, Matt served in global portfolio finance roles at Citadel and Citadel Securities for seven years. Matt began his career in the prime brokerage and synthetic products groups at Goldman Sachs in London, with a focus on building emerging market financing solutions for global institutions. He holds an MA from the University of Edinburgh.

Meg Caffrey is Chief Administrative Officer, Systematic Strategies at Schonfeld. Meg joined the firm in 1999 and has held various roles across the Compliance, Portfolio Manager Solutions Group and COO teams.

Prior to Schonfeld, she served as Lehman Brothers’ Chief Compliance Officer for North America. She began her career with the New York Stock Exchange in their Member Firm Regulation Division. Meg has a BS in Business Administration from Marist College.

Mitesh Parikh is the Co-Head of Discretionary Macro and Fixed Income (“DMFI”) at Schonfeld. Mitesh joined the firm in 2021 and oversees DMFI business development and informs DMFI capital allocation decisions. He serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Mitesh founded and managed Matador Investment Management, a global discretionary macro investment firm. Prior to founding Matador, Mitesh was a Managing Director at Balyasny Asset Management where he led the firm’s macro emerging portfolio manager program and was a member of the firm’s macro investment committee. Mitesh began his career at Goldman Sachs where he served as a Managing Director and Global Head of G10 F/X Trading. Mitesh received a BASc in International Management, Economics and American Business from Manchester University.

Neil Greenberg is the Global Head of Operations at Schonfeld. In this role, Neil is responsible for oversight of post-trade and activity processing across the platform, as well as the design of new product and portfolio manager workflows.

Prior to joining Schonfeld in 2023, Neil was Head of Operations at Caxton Associates. Before Caxton, Neil served as Co-Head of Operations at Finisterre Capital, overseeing Operations, Fund Accounting and Treasury. Neil holds a BSc in Economics from Reading University.

Omar Faruqui is the COO of Discretionary Macro and Fixed Income (DMFI) at Schonfeld. Omar is responsible for the strategic management and operations of the DMFI business globally. He serves on the firm’s Global Operating Committee.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Omar served as CEO/COO and as a Portfolio Manager at Matador Capital. Prior to Matador, Omar spent four years co-leading the investment team at Heirloom Investment Management. Before this, Omar spent over a decade at GAM where he held several roles, including managing a multi-asset fund, a number of tactical overlay books and a $2 billion allocation to macro/fixed income. Omar joined GAM from Commerzbank where was an Analyst within the ECM team. Omar holds a BSc in Economics from University College, London and is a CFA Charter holder.

Riccardo Riboldi is the Global Head of Emerging Markets and Delta One at Schonfeld. Riccardo joined the firm in 2023 and is responsible for building, managing and expanding the Emerging Markets and Delta One investment businesses globally. He serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Riccardo was a Partner at Goldman Sachs where he led the firm’s Emerging Market Equities franchise. Over his 14-year tenure at Goldman Sachs, Riccardo served in various senior functions across multiple products and asset classes. Riccardo holds a BS and MSc in Quantitative Finance from Bocconi University.

Ross Smith is the COO of Emerging Markets, Delta One and Volatility Strategies at Schonfeld Strategic Advisors. In this role, Ross works alongside the Emerging Markets, Delta One and Volatility teams to build and manage the trading and operational infrastructure required for their respective businesses. He serves on the firm’s Global Operating Committee.

Prior to joining Schonfeld in 2023, Ross served as the Head of Delta One Global Index Trading at Bank of America, managing both Developed and Emerging Markets trading teams. He began his career at ABN AMRO in settlements before becoming a structured products market maker. Ross holds a BFin from the University of Cape Town.

Saad Hammoud is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Global Head of Volatility Strategies at Schonfeld. Saad is responsible for the management and growth of Schonfeld’s Volatility business. He serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee.

Prior to Schonfeld, Saad served as a Portfolio Manager at BlueCrest. Prior to that, Saad served as Head of European Equity Derivative Trading at Lehman Brothers. He holds an MS in Engineering from École Centrale Paris.

Sam Kim is the Chief Financial Officer of Schonfeld. He joined Schonfeld in 2017, initially serving as Director of Fund Accounting before being promoted to Deputy Chief Financial Officer in 2020.

Prior to Schonfeld, he held roles at Alliance Bernstein as a Vice President and as Controller for the AB Arya Partners Fund. Sam was also previously a Vice President, Assistant Controller for Visium Asset Management. Sam received a BBA in Accountancy from Baruch College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Steffen Larsen is the Chief Operating Officer for the Global Index Strategy, where he oversees the strategic direction of the business, platform development and hiring. Steffen sits on Schonfeld’s Global Operating Committee.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Steffen held senior roles at Citadel, focusing on business and product management for the firm’s Fundamental Equities business. Earlier in his career, he helped build and scale the technology and operational platform for the Global Equities business at J.P. Morgan Chase and held trading roles at LIM Advisors and KBW. Steffen holds a BA in Economics and Finance from The University of Hong Kong.

Steve Harmon is Head of Corporate Strategy and Transformation at Schonfeld, a role he has held since the start of 2024. In this position, he leads a team responsible for driving priorities for the COO and CTO by orchestrating strategic cross-functional initiatives.

Steve began his career at Schonfeld in 1994 in Technology and advanced to lead teams and sub-departments in Back Office Technology. He also has experience in Software Development, Project, and Product Management. Steve holds a BS in Management Information Systems from Dowling College.

Tracy Backofen is the Global Head of Human Capital Management, where she is responsible for driving the firm’s people strategy around talent acquisition, talent management, professional development and total reward.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Tracy spent over 25 years at Goldman Sachs, where she held a number of senior roles focused on shaping human capital priorities and developing initiatives to attract and retain talent, most recently as Head of People Strategy for Public Investing within Asset and Wealth Management. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Maryland.

Victor Phua is the Senior Global Index Portfolio Manager at Schonfeld. In this role, Victor is responsible for the development and management of global index rebalance and events strategies. He serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee.

Prior to Schonfeld, Victor served as Head of APAC Equity Trading at Deutsche Bank. Prior to that, he was Head of Program Trading at Citibank and Morgan Stanley. Victor holds a PhD from Monash University.
