Schonfeld’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer Ryan Tolkin was recently featured on the “Generating Alpha” podcast in a discussion hosted by Amir Fischer, a 16-year-old Greenwich High School student who has featured some of the biggest names in finance on his platform to talk about their career paths.

During the episode, Ryan offered his unique perspective as one of the youngest CEO/CIO’s in our industry, at a firm where the founder has successfully handed over responsibility to the next generation.

Ryan told Amir about what it was like growing up as the eldest of three boys in Jericho, New York; his experience interning at Schonfeld in high school; the deep network he built at Duke University and then on the credit desk at Goldman Sachs; and his return to Schonfeld and rise to his current role of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer.

Ryan also touched on the growth of Schonfeld and what he looks for in talent and offered Amir his top advice for spearheading his career.
