Executive Committee
Schonfeld Group Holdings is run by a three-member Executive Committee which is led by Steven Schonfeld (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer) and includes Andrew Fishman (President) and Mark Peters (Chief Operating Officer). The Executive Committee meets at least weekly and devotes almost all of its time to establishing the firm’s overall business and investment strategies and priorities from which the entire organization takes direction.
Steven, Andrew and Mark share enduring and distinctive personal and professional relationships which have fostered the Executive Committee’s aptitude for making sound business decisions. Steven and Mark have been long-time friends after having met in high school in Long Island. Mark joined the firm in 1989, soon after it was founded by Steven. Steven and Andrew became friends while attending Emory University and became business associates when Steven invited Andrew to join the firm in 2000. Since that time, Steven, Andrew and Mark have successfully guided the firm through a variety of business cycles and complex business environments.
Operations Committee
The implementation of the Executive Committee’s business plan is overseen by a seven-member Operations Committee. Two of the members represent the Executive Committee and the other five members represent business units within the firm, including legal/compliance, operations, accounting, technology and quantitative research.
The Operations Committee is responsible for managing new and ongoing business due diligence and ensuring that the firm properly functions on a day-to-day basis. Each member of the Operations Committee has been associated with the firm for many years.
